Job-stage tracking and quoting software for make-to-order manufacturers

For jewellery, fabrication, print, signage and contract manufacturers with 10 to 200 staff, where jobs are tracked on a whiteboard and a WhatsApp group and quotes are built in Excel. We replace that with a job tracker your floor updates in one action and your customers can see.

Job-stage tracking

Every job on a ticket with a QR code; the person doing the work scans it to move the stage. Office dashboard, customer view and job history update at once. It works because it is faster than the whiteboard.

Quoting and estimating

Quotes built from materials, time and margin rules in a spreadsheet only one person understands. A quoting tool that encodes that method, keeps versions and produces a customer-ready document.

Design approvals and customer portal

Design requests, revisions and approvals over email and WhatsApp with no record of which version the customer said yes to. A portal where customers submit, review and approve, with the history kept.

ERP data you can actually see

Odoo, Zoho or SAP B1 holds the numbers, but the owner still rebuilds a weekly sheet from exports. Dashboards on top of the ERP you already have, per role, with the actions people need.

FAQ

Make-to-order manufacturing: common questions

Do we need an ERP, or just job tracking?

Most 10-to-50 person workshops need job tracking with roles and a customer view, which is a much smaller thing than an ERP. We start by writing down every stage a job passes through, who moves it and what "done" means at each. That exercise alone usually removes a stage or two, and it tells us whether an off-the-shelf tool fits before we propose a build.

Will the people on the floor actually use it?

Only if updating the system is faster than the whiteboard. That is why the floor side is a QR scan or a single tap on a phone. If a build needs a form to be filled in at a desk, it will be abandoned within a fortnight; we design to avoid that.

Can it work with our existing Odoo / Zoho / accounting system?

Yes, and it usually should. Odoo and Zoho both expose APIs; we read orders and customers from them and write back job status, so nobody double-enters. Where the ERP is the system of record, the tracker is a layer on top of it, not a replacement.

What about bespoke work where every job is different?

That is where custom beats off-the-shelf. The jewellery ERP handles design requests, metal and stone tracking and customer approvals that no standard tool models. The honest test: if you can describe your process on a standard tool's demo without saying "except for", buy the tool.

How long does it take and what does it cost?

A fixed pilot covering one process (usually job tracking) ships in two to four weeks and is quoted after the Process Audit. A full multi-role platform with a customer portal and mobile runs four to seven months and is only proposed once the pilot is running on the floor.

Which process goes first?

Tell us which process is still manual. The first call is a working session, not a pitch.
